I would consider people who think for themselves as outliers. They’re definitely not the norm anymore! Other labels like “odd,” “unusual,” and my favorite, “Herd Quitter,” are often used to describe people who refuse to follow the crowd.

Shane Parrish shared his views on people who think for themselves:

If you’re going to be wildly successful, you must be wildly unusual. Your life won’t resemble the lives of the people around you. You can learn a lot from Outliers, but you can’t copy them. The style of your success must fit who you are.

We feel the same way at Pharo Cattle Company®. Our philosophy of low-input, moderate-framed, forage-efficient, and profitable cattle has to be applied locally. You must put it to work in your environment and make it a part of your business model. It must be customized to fit your needs without losing the intent.

To the status-quo beef producer, we do look “wildly unusual.” Pharo Cattle Company has been an Outlier in the cattle industry for over 35 years. That is precisely why we have been so successful. We subscribe to a way of thinking that is both profitable and enjoyable – and you can too! Let us help you be an Outlier.
