Summer is usually a time off for school sports. However, it is also a time to attend summer camps. While recreating in Wyoming, Bryce Meredith stopped by our wrestling room and gave us a short clinic. Bryce is a Wyoming-grown wrestler who was a two-time NCAA finalist for the University of Wyoming and is currently an MMA fighter.

Bryce didn’t just show new technique, but spent some time talking about preparation, grit, and mental toughness: all things that are becoming scarce in an entitled society. He covered a lot of topics and had some great comments. He closed with a poem and advice that was really profound. The short video is worth the watch.

Bryce shared that for the joyful person, it’s hard to tell if you are working or playing. How many ranchers do you know who are joyful? I don’t know many. Most ranchers have horrible attitudes and usually look like their dog died. Where is the fun in that?

PCC® believes there can be joy in ranching. PCC isn’t just about genetics; it’s about a new way of thinking. We believe ranching can be both profitable and enjoyable. We believe that just like sports, attitude is everything.

If you are curious about the PCC® philosophy and how it can help your farm or ranch, come visit with us at one of our upcoming bull workdays. We will be happy to talk with you.

Quote Worth Re-Quoting

Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all – the apathy of human beings.” ~ Helen Keller
