Most people in America will be celebrating Independence Day in three days. For me, this is more than a time of celebration. It is also a time of reflection. The United States of America may still be the greatest nation on earth – but it’s NOT what it used to be!
As you celebrate Independence Day, I challenge you to consider how many freedoms we have allowed a tyrannical government to usurp since the 9/11 event that took place nearly 25 years ago. The recent pandemic allowed the government to usurp even more of our freedoms.
In my opinion, the only hope our country has is to get back to a non-intrusive government that strictly adheres to the US Constitution – as our forefathers intended. Although all our elected federal officials take an oath to defend and uphold the US Constitution, most in my lifetime (Republican and Democrat alike) have blatantly violated that oath.
It is time for “We the People” to realize we will NEVER attain different results by doing the same things over and over and over again. I have often wondered if it is time for another American Revolution! I believe we should take a stand and be a patriot. We owe it to our kids and grandkids!
Where would America be today if no one had the guts to take a stand against the tyrannical British government? After doing some research, I discovered that over half of the American colonists did not support the American Revolutionary War. At least one-third of the colonists fought with and for the British.
Food for thought… Where will America end up if no one has the guts to take a stand against the tyrannical American government?
Quote Worth Re-Quoting
“This nation was founded by rebels and revolutionaries – and its flags were carried across the battlefields by people who were very, very against the status quo.” ~ Lupe Fiasco
