Deanna and I just returned from a one-week cruise in the Pacific Northwest. Although this cruise did not start off as a favorite, it ended up being one of my favorites.
On the fourth day, we were scheduled for an excursion to Sol Duc Falls. This is a breathtaking, three-pronged waterfall located in the heart of Olympic National Park in Washington state.
We hiked through a beautiful temperate rainforest to reach the falls. A rainforest is the exact opposite of what we have on the high-pains dessert of Eastern Colorado. The falls were nothing short of spectacular!
