We’ve been developing bulls on grass for 28 years. From the very beginning, we designed our program to quickly separate the men from the boys. We are extremely tough on our bulls because we want our least efficient bulls to fall out of the program.
Developing bulls on grass is much more difficult than developing bulls on grain, because we have no control over the weather and other environmental factors. So… why do we do it?
Very few cows spend their life in a feedlot. Therefore, we believe maternal genetics should be tested for the ability to perform on grass – NOT grain. Our fleshing ability has been bred in – NOT fed in.
Because of the way our bulls have been bred and developed, they can breed twice as many cows for twice as many years as bulls coming out of other programs. With bulls selling for record-high prices, this represents a HUGE SAVINGS!
We will have a great selection of low-input, grass-developed Angus, Red Angus, South Poll, Polled Hereford, Composite and Heat-Tolerant bulls to choose from in our Fall Sales. To receive a catalog for our upcoming bull sales, click on the Request A Catalog link above.
