Colfax is the most impressive Purebred Tarentaise bull to go through the PCC program. He is a small-framed, breed-color bull with tremendous muscling and masculinity. He excelled in our all-grass program. Colfax combines the very best of our Tarentaise genetics. We flushed his dam at 14 years of age. Colfax sold in our 2006 Fall Bull Sale — and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to buy him back in 2009. He worked in a PCC Composite cowherd until he was injured at 10 years of age.

Not every breed has the type of cattle that can meet the requirements established by our philosophy. We have studied many different breeds to find cattle with the biological type most suited to our environment and our philosophies. Our focus has always been on low-maintenance cattle with strong maternal traits. Our seedstock program includes Red Angus, Black Angus, Hereford, Tarentaise, Mashona, as well as Composites of these breeds.
