After using him AI for a couple of years, we purchased a controlling interest in Beral of Wye in the summer of 2011. He has had a tremendous impact on our program. Beral is intensely linebred. He traces back to Gaird of Dalmeny, the foundation sire of the Wye program, 186 times. His dam produced until she was age 14. Beral is a small frame bull with tremendous thickness and fleshing ability. His birth weight EPD and his $EN EPD are both in the top 1% of the Angus breed. At one year of age, Beral had a 37 cm scrotal circumference, as well as 6.35% IMF. Very limited semen inventory.

PCC Breed Selection
Not every breed has the type of cattle that can meet the requirements established by our philosophy. We have studied many different breeds to find cattle with the biological type most suited to our environment and our philosophies. Our focus has always been on low-maintenance cattle with strong maternal traits. Our seedstock program includes Red Angus, Black Angus, Hereford, Tarentaise, Mashona, as well as Composites of these breeds.
