Walter the Cat spent most of yesterday in an empty cap box in Tammy’s and Kathy’s office. When Walter finds an empty cardboard box, he commandeers it as his own. He crawls inside and spends most of the day there.

I see this box as Walter’s comfort zone. He feels comfortable, safe and secure when he is in his comfort zone. He is not threatened or challenged by what is going on outside his comfort zone. Life is good – or is it?
Each and everyone of us have a comfort zone. Mine is different from yours – and yours is different from your neighbor’s. If someone does not challenge us to look and to think outside of our comfort zone every now and then, we become trapped. No matter what your business or occupation is, being trapped in your comfort zone is the absolute worst place to be. Our comfort zone may feel like a beautiful place – but nothing of significance will ever take place there.
