Tallahassee was the leadoff Composite bull in our Colorado 2013 Fall Bull Sale. He had impressive 5-star ratings for muscling, thickness, masculinity and overall. Tallahassee’s dam produced in our PCC herd until she was 13 years old. She was sold because her last calf died for unknown reasons prior to weaning. We don’t keep cows in the PCC program unless they wean a calf every year. Tallahassee is co-owned with CJ Schemper Farm in Kansas.

PCC Breed Selection

Not every breed has the type of cattle that can meet the requirements established by our philosophy. We have studied many different breeds to find cattle with the biological type most suited to our environment and our philosophies. Our focus has always been on low-maintenance cattle with strong maternal traits. Our seedstock program includes Red Angus, Black Angus, Hereford, Tarentaise, Mashona, as well as Composites of these breeds.
