Due to the untimely death of our working border collie, I’m in need of a stock dog. Please read more: The primary role of the dog will be to gather sheep (120 ewe flock plus lambs ) and put in pens when we work them. MUST have a strong handle and be able to work sheep quietly and be able to be called off. If the dog can gather up cows (45 Momma cows), it’s a bonus.
This would be ideal for a semi retired dog. They won’t be working stock daily. Ideally will ride in the side by side of follow on horse rides to keep the humans in line. Vet references happily provided. Dog will be spayed/neutered and live out its life with us.
