Tim Downing shares, in detail, his journey of land acquisitions and trades that led him to the ranch he operates today. He talks about the stories behind each step and the sacrifices he had to make to build a first-generation ranch—one that’s scaled to sustain multiple generations. I really enjoyed this conversation!

$.85/day to send cows to Nebraska cornstalks? Is that total fee or cost of cornstalks with labor added on? Sounds like a steal if total cost is only $.85/head/day!
My understanding is that was his total cost for stalks and labor, but I could be wrong on that in his situation. However, I’ve heard similar rates in other situations. That does not however include trucking which can add significantly to the per day cost.
I learn so much from each of these podcasts, thank you.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you get some value from it!
