Several years ago, my brothers and sisters decided we need to have a Pharo Phamily Reunion every other year – on the odd numbered years. I have two younger brothers and two younger sisters. It was decided that we would take turns being responsible for this biennial event. This was Kathy’s year. She decided to get everyone together at the Pharo Cabin in the Southern Colorado Mountains.
Four of the five living siblings were able to attend – with many of their spouses, children and grandchildren. There was a total of 24 people in attendance from Michigan, Oklahoma and Colorado. Our mother was just recuperating from a bout with bronchitis and was unable to participate in the family fun. The eight grandkids ranged from 10 months to 7 years. They remained in a state of total excitement day. They enjoyed spending time with cousins they rarely get together with.
In the four days that our family spent time together, we enjoyed laughing and telling stories around the campfire while watching the little ones roast marshmallows. We enjoyed taking walks and watching wildlife. We enjoyed going to the river to see who could catch the most and the biggest fish. The fishing was great! All of the grandchildren caught at least one fish – except for 10-month-old Everly.
Can you pick out and identify the four siblings in this picture (Kit, Brett, Kathy and Jen)? Can you pick out and identify Tyson Pharo? How about Braylee Pharo?
