For some reason, it seems to be in my nature to challenge traditions and the status quo. This has happened in several areas of my life – including business, politics and religion. I don’t really know why this is – but I hope some good will come of it.
Just because something is a tradition does not make it bad. However, it is easy to get stuck in a rut that is headed in the wrong direction if you’re not careful. I’ve been stuck in a few of those ruts myself. As the old saying goes, “If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results.” Every now and then, it is good to look ahead and see where the rut you are in is headed.
I hope you don’t mind me using our weekly emails to challenge your traditions every now and then. Whether you agree or disagree with me doesn’t really matter to me. I just want you to take a look outside the box (rut) that you have put yourself in and see if there might be something better. The world we live in is constantly changing. Therefore, it is imperative that we keep adapting and changing with it.
Quote Worth Re-Quoting –
“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are headed.” ~ Lai Tzu
PCC has done an excellent job over the last several years of showing people how their type of cattle can be profitable, even when times are tight. Those who were proactive got out of the status quo rut and have developed cow herds built around PCC’s principles are now set to take advantage of the upcoming years when so many others will be focusing on surviving.
