Idaho
has become a great outcross bull for our program. He has tremendous
spring of rib and guts. If you measure thickness as pounds per inch
of height — Idaho is hard to beat. His sons continue to be among
our top-selling forage-tested bulls. His daughters are very fertile,
high-production cows. Idaho’s birth weight EPD is in the top
20% of the Angus breed. Unfortunately, he died last winter at age 11.

Night Man is a son of the great DHD Traveler 6807 with some guaranteed
calving ease. He is in the top 1% of the Angus breed for birth
weight EPD and calving ease direct. You can use him with complete
confidence on your first-calf heifers, but you should also consider
using him on your mature cows. Night Man has produced some very
nice, fault-free daughters. His $EN value is in the top 4% of the
Angus breed. Night Man died at age 11. He is co-owned with Diamond

We often
refer to Moderator as “The King of Calving Ease”. He is
in the top 1% of the Angus breed for birth weight EPD. He has been
used on thousands of commercial heifers with excellent results. Many
calving ease bulls lack substance and thickness, but not this one.
Moderator was a very deep-bodied bull. His energy value is in the top
2% of the Angus breed. Moderator will produce some efficient, low-maintenance,
long-lasting females. He was still working at 12 years of age. Co-owned

Five Star
is a very heavily used Homer son out of a Night Man daughter. He has
guaranteed calving ease bred into both sides of his pedigree. Five
Star’s birth weight EPD is in the top one half of 1% of the Angus
breed. His $EN value is in the top 20% of the Angus breed. Five Star’s
daughters are the keeping kind. His sons have been averaging over $4000
in our bull sales. Five Star is co-owned with the Flying S Ranch and
Dallas Anderson.

Bench
Mark is a 5-star calving ease bull that sires calves with extra thickness
and fleshing ability. His birth weight and calving ease direct EPDs
are both in the top 3% of the Angus breed. Bench Mark’s momma
was a very nice Bear of Wye daughter that we flushed a couple of times.
His $EN value is in the top 3% of the Angus breed. Our Bench Mark daughters
seem to be extremely fertile, good-uddered cows with tremendous longevity.

Trailblazer
is a stout, deep-bodied, good-natured Emblazon son. He is very masculine
in appearance — he ain’t no sissy bull. We used Trailblazer
for several years on a PCC cowherd that runs on fescue grass in northeastern
Oklahoma. He was always one of the very first to shed off and shine
up in the spring. Trailblazer is a guaranteed udder improver. His $EN
value is in the top 10% of the Angus breed. Trailblazer is co-owned

Morgan was
a high-selling bull in our 2003 Spring Bull Sale. He was purchased
by a rancher in southwest Kansas. We were able to buy the bull back
when the drought forced several herd liquidations in this part of the
world. Morgan combines calving ease with thickness, fleshing ability
and performance. His birth weight EPD is in the top 4% of the Angus
breed. His energy value EPD is in the top 10% of the breed. Morgan
is co-owned with Clyde Mattson and Seven Spades Cattle Company.

Reno was
produced by one of our very best, older cows. She was a very thick,
deep-flanked, easy-fleshing, 3.5 frame cow that produced until she
was 12. Reno’s sire, 9Q4, is a well-balanced bull that produces
moderate sized females with a little extra milk. Reno has worked great
on heifers. His birth weight EPD is in the top 15% of the Angus breed.
His $EN value is in the top 20% of the breed. Reno’s daughters
are the keeping kind. He is pictured in his working clothes in Wyoming.

Iron Man is a deep-bodied,
easy-fleshing, calving-ease son of Night Man out of a Bear of Wye daughter.
He is in the top 2% of the Angus breed for birth weight EPD. Calving

$EN value is in the top 5% of the Angus breed. Iron Man is still working
at 10 years of age. Iron Man is co-owned with Abraham Land and Cattle
in Texas.

This may be the bull that
will replace his sire, Magua. His dam is a well-proven 11-year-old
cow that has produced several top-sort sons and daughters. Trade Wind’s
birth weight EPD is in the top 2%. He is a very thick, heavy-muscled
bull with an energy value in the top 5% of the Angus breed. He has
